Applying To Cornerstone

Download Our Application
  1. Call for an appointment at 603.772.4349, to tour the facility and observe a Cornerstone classroom.

Classroom observations are the best way to get a feel for the unique opportunities a Montessori classroom can offer. We welcome and encourage you to observe at your child’s level as well as other levels in the school. A tour takes approximately 20 minutes while observations usually run 30 to 40 minutes per classroom. You will also have an opportunity to ask questions after your observation. Please allow at least an hour for your initial introduction to The Cornerstone School. During your visit you will receive an application if you do not already have one.

  2. Complete an application. Send in or leave your completed application at The Cornerstone School with the $75.00 application fee.

  3. Inn early spring, a classroom visit will be scheduled for the child. At that time, parents of older students will fill out a "records release form."

During the classroom visit, faculty will spend time with your child assessing his or her developmental readiness for the level to which you are applying. Social and emotional readiness for the classroom are paramount to academic success. Therefore, a second visit may be requested if faculty feels they need more time with your child. If requested, teachers will call you to discuss your child’s visit.

  4. In the case of students with educational experience, we will contact previous teachers and request records.

  5. Enrollment contracts are mailed with the deadline noted. The Cornerstone School has a rolling admissions process. Applications are considered in order of receipt, taking a balance of age and gender into consideration. Priority is given to siblings of existing students as well as students who have a Montessori background.

  6. The Cornerstone School admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin, to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. The Cornerstone School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policy, scholarship and loan programs and athletic and other school administered programs.
