Each year Cornerstone appeals to it’s parent community for contributions in support of students and programs. Annual appeal funds allow us to enhance the educational experience for our students. In the past the funds have been used to purchase computer equipment, outdoor environment renovations, gym equipment and other similar improvements. These cash gifts go a long way toward maintaining the standard of excellence expected at Cornerstone. Any size gift makes a difference and 100% family participation is our goal. Gifts can be made by check, cash or money order, or by adding a contribution amount to your monthly tuition debit amount.

You may donate stocks directly to Cornerstone and make a charitable income tax deduction equal to the fair market value of the securities. It is also possible to avoid the capital gains tax that would be incurred if the securities were sold. To donate securities, please contact the office.

Many companies have programs wherein they match the contributions their employees make to charitable organizations. This type of program doubles the power of the gift you make. Check with your Human Resources department to see if your company has such a program.

Cornerstone has two tuition assistant funds that allocate funds to families on a sliding scale who are dedicated to Montessori education for their children and, without assistance, may not be able to attend Cornerstone. One fund is also designated to assist already enrolled families to happen upon difficult circumstances that make it difficult for them to continue at Cornerstone. You may designate your contribution to be allocated to one of these funds.

Occasionally, Cornerstone has specific needs or “wish lists” that can be considered in-kind contributions of time, services or goods. Your tax advisor can assist you in determining the deductibility of gifts in kind.
